  • About Chris
Chris Vosters is a play-by-play broadcaster based in Chicago. His broadcasting background is rooted in his early childhood when he announced scores from the newspaper at the breakfast table and called games for the Mighty Wombats of the Backyard Baseball League.

With interests in sports and public speaking, Chris pursued a career in broadcast journalism in college. At the University of Wisconsin, Chris graduated with honors from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Outside the classroom, Chris’s career vision crystalized thanks to his time at the university’s state-of-the-art student radio station, 91.7-FM WSUM.

In search of on-air reps to hone his delivery and find his voice, Chris began his post-college career in baseball. Chris reached a major stepping-stone in 2015 when he accepted the lead broadcast position for the Great Lakes Loons, a Dodgers’ affiliate, and ESPN 100.9-FM WLUN in Midland, Michigan. The Loons won the Midwest League championship in 2016, and Chris was named the league’s broadcaster of the year by his peers. While in the Great Lakes Bay Region, Chris also broadcast high football and basketball, along with college basketball for Northwood University.

Since 2017, Chris has called games for the Big Ten Network, FOX Sports, the ESPN family of networks, NBC Sports and Stadium. A particular highlight and honor for Chris came when he broadcast 4K figure skating for the 2018 Winter Olympics and wheelchair curling for the Paralympic Winter Games with NBC. He can't wait to be a part of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The Sportscasters' Talent Agency of America recognized Chris on its latest 30 Under 30 list of the top broadcasters under age 30.

Chris feels alive in his work and strives to use broadcasting as a tool to become a better person. He enjoys sports as a way of learning more about people and the world.
